Slouch Ankle Boots? Are They In?

I had a pair of these boots when I was in the second grade (I'm talking about in the 80's). Anyway, I was in Macy's the other day and I saw a pair similiar to what I had; it brought back memories! Then a girl was trying them on. The boots looked pretty cute.

Are they "in" for the fall/winter?

They're really cute! If you believe you look good in them, buy them! It doesn't matter what's in style. If you're iffy about this logic, then wear something that's in style with something that's, uh, not in style. Make sense? Start a trend! I always wear cargo shorts and an occasional camo with colorful tanks and even a babydoll once... lol.. People like it.

im thinking of getting this for my year 12 formal. I live in Australia so i figured ordering a dress from overseas would give me a lot less chance of wearing the same thing as another girl in my grade.
i wanted something classic, and i want to get a black one as it is easy to match shoes to perfectly.
Id wear plain black hidden platform round toe heels. I dont think i'd wear any jewelley as it is detailed, maybe some gold studs?
and i would most likely do my hair up in a messy bun. I have light brown medium length hair, and normal skin tone.
what do you think?

WOWW!! That dress is gorgeous and definitely classy. I aren't really into dresses but that one is really nice. I think the colour of the dress is the best from the other colours. And yeh, have your hair is a low messy bun, I've seen that a lot with dresses these days. And about the jewellery, you're right. If you wear a necklace it will be too much due to the belt, unless its thin, its up to you. But maybe wear some fashion statement studs because you need one item which is a fashion statement, whether its a necklace, ring or earrings. I think the dangly earrings will make the outfit look even more classier. And from what you say, it will surely suit you x

I just received a brown salvatore ferragamo jacket as a gift but I never wear brown so I don't really know what colors to wear with it.. Any ideas?

White, pink, silver, grey, purple, green, practically any color depending on what shade of brown it is. You can even wear black-- don't be afraid to mix the two dark colors!
